Manor Lodge was built in the Edwardian period and has been sympathetically restored, retaining its distinctive character but with high quality modern facilities. We have a varied choice of beautifully decorated spacious double and single bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. Many have pleasant sea views or patio doors onto the decking and our award-winning south-facing gardens. All rooms have a 24-hour call bell system, TV and telephone points and personal thermostatically controlled central heating.
There are charming day rooms where residents can socialise, chat with friends and relatives, relax, read or participate in our extensive social and activities programme if they wish. There is an up-to-date passenger lift and two stairlifts. We have a library of some 100 books, with a mix of regular reading and talking books, which are changed every six weeks, and a local events guide.
The Luxurious Lounge with Patio Doors leading out into the Garden. The luxurious lounge has patio doors leading onto decking around our gardens, where residents can sit out in good weather. The residents also hold fetes and charitable functions in the gardens, raising money for local causes.
The light and airy conservatory-style dining room is a pleasant environment for residents to enjoy their freshly prepared meals, which can be taken in their rooms if they wish. Special diets are catered for and preferences are taken into account. We operate a seasonal menu that is regularly reviewed and snacks and beverages are available at any time.
